Cognitive & Behavioral Consultants of Westchester is a private group practice of internationally recognized mental health professionals who specialize in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and provide the highest quality of clinical, consultation, and coaching services. Through the use of evidence-based approaches, we provide the necessary structure and tools to assist individuals with issues ranging from life stresses and problems to the full range of mild to severe psychological disorders. We serve adults, adolescents, children, couples and families, as well as provide consultation to the community and other professionals.

Our Staff
Suzanne Allen, PsyD
Dr. Suzanne M. Allen is a part-time psychologist working with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Allen received her B.A. from Loyola University New Orleans and her doctorate in school psychology from St. John's University. She completed her doctoral internship at The School at Columbia University. Dr. Allen specializes in the cognitive behavioral treatment of trauma as well as in the treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, externalizing behavior disorders, and school-related issues. She also has expertise in working with parents of children with emotional and behavioral difficulties. Dr. Allen has been intensively trained in dialectical behavior therapy to treat individuals demonstrating multi-problem behaviors, and has been involved in the adolescent DBT program at CBCW as an individual therapist and a skills trainer. In addition, Dr. Allen is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and was formerly the Acting Coordinator of Mental Health Services at the Butler Child Advocacy Center at Montefiore Hospital. Dr. Allen has presented research at conferences on a variety of topics including the differential diagnosis between Asperger's and Autism and the development of maternal self-efficacy.
